Jillian Adams created Building Legacy, LLC in 2009 after working in preservation-related fields for about 20 years. She helps faith-based and non-profit clients to preserve their historic buildings while strengthening the leadership capacity of their staff and volunteers. As the project consultant, she provides the necessary expertise to help clients hire qualified architects and contractors, develop construction projects, create fund raising plans, write grant applications, and bring partners together.
While working for Historic Boston, and before that at the Lowell Historic Board, Ms. Adams helped manage multi-million dollar preservation projects by coupling her specialized training in preservation with her belief that buildings should not be frozen in time. As she works with clients, she watches people recognize the true potential within themselves as they revitalize community treasures. She believes that saving historic places helps us envision the future in ways no other transformation does, no matter if they are associated with past heartaches or triumphs.
